Kicking off the 6th Annual Tools for Transformation Conference is the Legislative Breakfast, which will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Radisson Midtown at theUniversity of Southern California. Come to this exciting annual event and engage in a conversation with the city’s top policymakers and advocates. Speak up and voice your concerns on the issues most pertinent to you and your family directly to the national, state, and local elected officials in attendance.
Distinguished guest panelists at this year’s breakfast include SEIU-ULTCW President Laphonza Butler, Los Angeles City Controller Wendy Greuel, California State Assemblymember Holly J. Mitchell, California State Senator Curren D. Price, Jr., and California Endowment President and CEO Robert K. Ross, M.D., Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas will deliver the keynote speech, while ABC News Anchor Marc Brown will serve as the emcee. Live entertainment will be provided by the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts.
The theme of this year’s event is “Pathways to Equality” – a reflection of Special Needs Network’s mission to advocate for the rights of underserved families in our communities.
